Beck Manga (Mongolian Chop Squad)

Its not like I’m the type of comics or manga fans. Even nowaday, there is quite rare of comics with such a good storyline or characters. If I have to dig-out the pile of comics in bookstore, like the one I used to go, Gramedia — I would rather die in boresome.

Not, till i found this manga:  Beck

At the beginning, I didn’t even notice the existence of it. It’s coz I first get to read it on a bundle of Shonen Magz. It’s true that the very beginnng of Beck is quite flat and boring, no different with any other comics in Shonen.

But, then there’s this publisher that came up with Beck in a single series. Still, I havent put on notice. Till it reached the vol 5, when Beck started to get a glimpse of light in its band’s journey. That’s when everyone in the band, started to realize the true power of the main character of the story, Koyuki. With his strong, yet soothing voice the band begin to realize that the chemistry between 5 of them, is what will put Beck even in a position where the big bands are, such as Dying Breed which has always been their inspiration.

Beck, is one hell of manga, that will bring you to love the rock music. Eventhough you’re not one of rock fans, you will find the spirit of rock music which is brought through by Beck. The characters are so rooted and the story is deeply touch the reader’s heart that the journey of becoming a band which is acknowledged by people, is not as easy as reversing your hand.

Well, if you guys are interested or just curious about it, you can go to this page, which I always do. Happy reading and rock ‘n roll!

Cheese-sandwich

Cheese-sandwich, hmm.. so yummy!

Do you like to grab it, put it in your mouth and feel the taste of every chunk of it? It feels even better to have a cup of tea, milk or coffee, while eating cheese-sandwich.

What do you expect from it, more bread or more cheese? Well, I think that depends. For me, it’s great to have a balanced portion of bread and cheese in a sandwich.

Not too bready, neither too cheesy.

Now, I want to take you to look at our lives. What do you expect from your life, more happyness or more sorrow? I think it feels great if the portion is somehow balanced.

Not too happy, neither too sad.

But, what happened if you get so many problems, that makes your life feels bad (or sad)? I say, just think of the cheese in a sandwich. Though, you might not like it, but it’s still better than having nothing at all, right?

So, if happyness is all you get in life — I say, it’s as plain as eating sandwich without cheese.
